At the Committee for Roads, Chairman Jamshid Tursunov met with the head of the Islamic Development Bank mission, Emre Eser, and other mission members. Jamshid Tursunov welcomed the mission members to Uzbekistan and thanked the management of the Islamic Development Bank for agreeing to finance the 4R40 project, "Reconstruction of the 24-182 km section (158 km) of the Dashtabad-Zamin-Bakhmal-Gallaral" road.

It is important to note that, in collaboration with the Islamic Development Bank, the reconstruction of the M39 "Almaty-Bishkek-Tashkent-Termiz" road in the Surkhandarya region, covering 121 km and upgraded to a four-lane asphalt-concrete surface, has been successfully completed.

This year, reconstruction will begin on a 60 km section of the M39 road in the Kashkadarya region.

In his remarks, Jamshid Tursunov announced that he would propose seven promising projects to the Islamic Development Bank. In response, the visiting delegation expressed gratitude to the chairman for the engaging dialogue. The Islamic Development Bank showed interest in the information about the seven proposed projects and expressed satisfaction with the cooperation with Uzbekistan in the road sector.

Both parties indicated their readiness for long-term collaboration during the meeting.
